I wish I had known this method of folding and unfolding a top sheet years ago--works like a charm! It is especially useful to do when making a bigger bed. When folding the sheet, fold it up (bottom folded up to the top), left side to the to the right, bottom up to the top, left side to the right, etc. until you get it folded into a square about a foot across with the last fold to the right.
First, you will need to put the fitted sheet on the bed. I don't bother to fold the bottom (fitted) sheet but just locate the top (short side) and roll it up. The wrinkles will stretch out once it is on the bed.
When you put the top sheet on the bed, stand on the right side of the bed facing the head of the bed. Unfold the sheet to the left, down, and to the left. Now place the still partly folded sheet at the head of the bed with the left side at the middle of the head of the bed and the right side hanging down about 12-18 inches (or however much you want it to hang down) off the right side of the bed. Continue to unfold to the left and down until it covers the whole bed. You will only need to go to the other side of the bed to pull down the last corner down to the foot of the bed. You will probably need to practice a bit but it's worth learning how to do.
